Firstly, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Yves Gaubert.
I am self-taught and I began playing the diatonic accordion in the full bloom of my twenties like many other accordion players. I have played in various bands and founded others. At the same time, I also started repairing and tuning accordions. Meanwhile, I improved my playing style and studied to be a music teacher which allowed me to give diatonic accordion lessons to various organisations.
My professional woodworking training and my favorite passion for all types of craft work helped me in creating my first accordion. The path was long and painful but I was very excited when the accordion I created met all my expectations. |
